My blue kite
Yesterday me and my group goosebumps drew a kite for our reading. It was about some of the biggest kites in the world and what I learnt about the biggest kite was people are not allowed to hold it because the kite will fly away with the people and that's why they have to use a tractor. The tractor is metal and big and strong also fat so that the kite wont fly away.

Manaiakalani film festival
Our whole school went to the manaikalani film festival. We went there to watch films about what students are learning in school. We watched films from Glen Innes Primary and Tamaki College. We took a photo near our Ruapotaka display. It was exciting and fun.

Our native Pohutukawa tree
We sat next to the beautiful Pohutukawa tree. It is a native tree of New Zealand which means that it only grows here. We saw a lot of different flowers in the botanic garden. We even drew and sketched roses.
