KFC To Try Meat-Free Chicken 🐕

KFC is experimenting with chicken free meat in their products.

Chicken nuggets and chicken wings will be made from a plant-based product that resembles the same texture. KFC says that there will be a similar touch to the original chicken. At this period of time the plant-based nuggets will carry out trials in Atlanta in the US.

I think that this idea is good because Vegans can try chicken.

R8's Trip To Wero WhiteWater

Last Friday my class R8 traveled to Wero White Water by bus. When we arrived we exited the bus then we were told to walk inside the Wero White Water. Firstly we sat down and then had permission to eat some of our lunch.

After that one of the workers told us that we will be going to watch a film on how the WhiteWater was built. After the film the students went to get changed into their togs. When everyone had gotten changed we went to go and put on wet suits, our wet boots, our life jacket then lastly our helmate for safety.

Once we were done putting our gear on one of the tutors named Ethan was explaining to us how to stay safe and and how to paddle and sit on the boats properly. After that our class took photos. When we were done we had been put into groups with the other WhiteWater workers. They explained how to stay safe when crossing a river and to always face the way the water is going.

Being Cybersmart

Today I am going to be refreshing my memory on being cybersmart. What I am going to be talking about is how to use or come up with a strong password so that a criminal or a stranger doesn't get into your devices.

                                                             Strong Passwords
First of all your passwords have to be unique. You can choose any password in the world. It could be either your address, friends' name, dogs' name, or even your favourite sports game. There are some common passwords on your keyboard that you might not have even seen such as #%^&*(){}[]<>.

Technocraft😑😑

Today at Tamaki College Technocraft, Mr Grundy's class was actually pretty fun. I finally started on my wood works project while everyone else was nearly finished on their project. Whenever we needed help with something, we had to put our name on the board. Then whenever Mr Grundy calls out our name, "Kain!"  then I'll put my hand up and he will come over and I'll have to tell him what I need help with.

At Technocraft Today We Did

Today the year 7 and 8's went to Tamaki College for the first time in 2019. My group went to Mr Grundy's class. We're doing hard materials.

Mr Grundy was teaching us how to make wooden toys. Before we started making toys he handed out pieces of paper and pencils to all of us, then we were asked to draw our own designs. I  sketched a train and a box. For the box I designed a lid to open it for a secret compartment.

We learnt how to spike, dig, underarm serve and overarm serve. The three activities we did were, boys against girls, elimination round and we also had a tournament.

My team came second in the elimination round. When we played boys against girls, the girls team won because they had more players

Kahurangi

On Wednesday we had special visitors come to our school talking about the Maori Legends and they were funny and entertaining. The two hosting the show were Lucky and Tute and their group's name was Kahurangi. The part that I liked was when they were telling us how Lucky got married and then the cousins didn't believe them. My second favourite part is when the Maori lady tried to get onto the other side of the river. So then she tried to jump across the river but that idea did not work. Afterwards she then came up with another one which was to try to fly across the river.

Then if you complete that lot, you will have to try and catch nine. In the end Room nine had won.
